This Case Epilogue written February 1, 2017 is intended to provide context to this web site as it documents a Canadian constitutional challenge spanning from 2004 to 2016. Bruce Montague determined to expose the constitutional violations in the Canadian Firearms Act. After being charged, mounting a constitutional challenge and appealing to the Supreme Court of Canada, Montague's case was dismissed without reasons. With Bruce in jail, the Montagues then faced an another twist of injustice -- the confiscation of their home and property by the Ontario government. The Montagues fought the civil forfeiture of their home for years until, in the summer of 2016, the Canadian Constitution Foundation was instrumental in negotiating with the Ontario Civil Forfeiture department to drop the lien against the Montague home. The Canadian Constitution Foundation deserves our support as they continue to fight other cases of injustice around the country. YOU COULD BE NEXT! Canada is undergoing a quiet revolution and your fundamental rights and freedoms are at stake!

Mar 2, 2005 - Sioux Lookout Meeting Report

Road Tour Reports Index

March 2, 2005, by Bruce Montague

The rally was attended by a rather small but enthusiastic crowd. I was a little disappointed with attendance at about 15 people, but the ones that came out were very enthusiastic and supportive. Everybody there heard and understood my message very well (I quizzed them later).

We had many interactive and insightful discussions after the formal presentation. This crowd touched my heart and encouraged me with their sediments. You can't judge a crowd by quantity alone; it's the quality that counts!

The meeting started at 7pm and didn't finish up until just before 10pm!!! That gives you some idea of how passionate these supporters are. I welcome every one of them on board in this battle to help regain our rights in this country.

There was a total of $706 raised, less the hall cost of $75, for a net of $631 raised toward this charter challenge. A local business owner also donated a very unusual but welcome offer of his collected air miles, for use if needed..

It's funny how God answers our prayers. Chris di Armani and I are trying to plan a trip to Whitehorse to do a rally up there. We now have flight tickets donated to us from Vancouver to Whitehorse, and I was trying to figure out how to do this trip without either going broke or spending too much time driving. The solution has just dropped into our laps. I am so thankful for the many creative ways our prayers are being answered in this fight.

A good supporter presented a few of us with a 'dog tag' titled "Shields of Strength" and it had a bible verse on it. This 'good supporter has now become a good friend, and I'd like to share what this tag says because I find it so applicable in this fight. Many of you may remember the bible story about Joshua fighting and winning battles against many powerful foes, one of which was the city of Jericho.

The verse is from Joshua 1:9

I will be strong and courageous. I will not be terrified, or discouraged; for the Lord my God is with me wherever I go.

Yours in Liberty,

Bruce Montague.
