This Case Epilogue written February 1, 2017 is intended to provide context to this web site as it documents a Canadian constitutional challenge spanning from 2004 to 2016. Bruce Montague determined to expose the constitutional violations in the Canadian Firearms Act. After being charged, mounting a constitutional challenge and appealing to the Supreme Court of Canada, Montague's case was dismissed without reasons. With Bruce in jail, the Montagues then faced an another twist of injustice -- the confiscation of their home and property by the Ontario government. The Montagues fought the civil forfeiture of their home for years until, in the summer of 2016, the Canadian Constitution Foundation was instrumental in negotiating with the Ontario Civil Forfeiture department to drop the lien against the Montague home. The Canadian Constitution Foundation deserves our support as they continue to fight other cases of injustice around the country. YOU COULD BE NEXT! Canada is undergoing a quiet revolution and your fundamental rights and freedoms are at stake!

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN

Re: Bruce & Donna Montague

We have known this couple for about 20 years now. We became acquainted when they moved into the house beside us. I babysat for them, they babysat for us. We attended the same church and worked together in the Sunday School and other church programs as well as school related activities.

They were very active in their church, school and community as well as being hard-working, devout family people and that has continued over the years.

We have remained connected via e-mail, phone and visits since we moved out of that village 17 years ago and their move to Dryden12-13 years ago.

I admire their commitment to family, church and faith. They are people of principle and integrity. In whatever they do seek to be informed and grow more knowledgeable. They love the outdoors and appreciate and care for the gifts given them in nature as well as life.

I admire their ability to communicate with their children, family, friends and others.

This has given me the opportunity to really evaluate and think about what draws me to them. And I would have to say that ultimately it is their honesty, integrity and conviction to stand up for what they believe in, to take the bad with the good, in an effort to seek the best outcome and remain true to their beliefs. They think ahead and don’t act impulsively, but make informed decisions/choices.

We and our four children have continued to hold dear the friendship and ties we have with them. We are proud to consider them friends and be considered their friends.

Ken & Rose,

Sherri, Brad, Kelly & Kevin Metzger
