This Case Epilogue written February 1, 2017 is intended to provide context to this web site as it documents a Canadian constitutional challenge spanning from 2004 to 2016. Bruce Montague determined to expose the constitutional violations in the Canadian Firearms Act. After being charged, mounting a constitutional challenge and appealing to the Supreme Court of Canada, Montague's case was dismissed without reasons. With Bruce in jail, the Montagues then faced an another twist of injustice -- the confiscation of their home and property by the Ontario government. The Montagues fought the civil forfeiture of their home for years until, in the summer of 2016, the Canadian Constitution Foundation was instrumental in negotiating with the Ontario Civil Forfeiture department to drop the lien against the Montague home. The Canadian Constitution Foundation deserves our support as they continue to fight other cases of injustice around the country. YOU COULD BE NEXT! Canada is undergoing a quiet revolution and your fundamental rights and freedoms are at stake!

Bruce Montague - rugged individualist

Testimonials Index

October 18,2004.

To whom it may concern:

I have known Bruce Montague and his family for ten years and have been friends with them for that many years. We attend the same church together, have hunted together and socialized on numerous occasions. Bruce is a rugged individualist who enjoys the pioneering spirit, being as self sufficient as he can be. He and his wife built a log home out in the wilderness made from the timbers on their own property and Bruce operated his gunsmith business out of the home. Bruce is very knowledgeable in his trade and can repair almost any problem relating to firearms.

When the new gun registration legislation came to pass Bruce saw it as a violation to the rights and freedom of fellow Canadians who possess firearms not to mention the restriction to his own livelihood. Although Bruce is opposing this legislation I want to assure the public he is in no way a lunatic or dangerous or even a threat to human life. Bruce's convictions in opposing the gun legislation however, exceed that of my own.
