OPP in Dryden say they uncovered a huge cache of firearms and ammunition hidden in a secret room in the basement of a local residence.
They've laid 23 additional charges against a 45 year old man who was first charged last month with six firearms-related offences. While executing a second search warrant at the residence of William Bruce Montague, OPP say they discovered over 100 guns, 25,000 rounds of ammunition, explosives materials and prohibited weapons including a Uzi pistol submachinegun, a sten gun and a semi-automatic assault rifle with a silencer and barrel-mounted laser site.
Montague, who appears in court next month, is known as a vocal opponent of the federal gun registry.
