Dear Mr. Montague,
Thank you very much for giving me this opportunity to give you my
perspective on this. It is really great to see so many people here that I
know. I have hunted, fished and shot pistols with many of you and it is nice
to see such a friendly group here tonight.
My name is Courtney Griffin and I'm the daughter of Walt Griffin whom
many of you know. I have my own 357-magnum pistol and love shooting with my
Dad and brothers.
I have my junior P.A.L. and my hunting license, last year I went goose
hunting, and the day before I turned 13 years old, I shot my first deer.
Now, here is the important part. If Mr. Montague is willing to tackle
the federal government on Bill C-68, I'm willing to support him. I'm the
next generation of gun owner and if you older folks do not financially
support him so that we can win this fight, then your children and grand
children will not be able to own guns and do the interesting things that I'm
able to do with my Dad and family. That is why I'm giving one month of my
allowance money to help fight this fight.
