This Case Epilogue written February 1, 2017 is intended to provide context to this web site as it documents a Canadian constitutional challenge spanning from 2004 to 2016. Bruce Montague determined to expose the constitutional violations in the Canadian Firearms Act. After being charged, mounting a constitutional challenge and appealing to the Supreme Court of Canada, Montague's case was dismissed without reasons. With Bruce in jail, the Montagues then faced an another twist of injustice -- the confiscation of their home and property by the Ontario government. The Montagues fought the civil forfeiture of their home for years until, in the summer of 2016, the Canadian Constitution Foundation was instrumental in negotiating with the Ontario Civil Forfeiture department to drop the lien against the Montague home. The Canadian Constitution Foundation deserves our support as they continue to fight other cases of injustice around the country. YOU COULD BE NEXT! Canada is undergoing a quiet revolution and your fundamental rights and freedoms are at stake!

Dec14: Beasujour Rally Report

Road Tour Reports Index

by Donna Montague

We're back, safe and sound. The roads weren't too bad going out there but coming home was worse. The rally went very well. We were greeted by a very warmly and got to know a very supportive group of local people over supper. This was really nice as it put familiar faces in the audience for us.

With the bad weather conditions, we were unsure how the attendance would work out. The legion was full. I'd guestimate 100 - 150 people. Paul Millan was the coordinator of the rally and he also MC'd the evening. He did an excellent job of introducing and supporting us. There was even a raffle for a beautiful hand crafted skinning knife made by Charlie Niedermayer. Every $10's donated received a ticket on the draw.

The rally opened with the showing of Chris's video. Then I was introduced. I wish I didn't have essential tremors ... I shook through my presentation, but I felt a real connection with the audience, I didn't do any screw ups and sat down feeling very pumped. Next Bruce got up and did his talk which also connected with the audience. He showed his video clip of Annie and Martin, which carried a distinct message.

When our speeches were completed Bruce answered questions for 15-20 min, then the knife draw took place. We hung around for a while talking with people. Many told us we had their support and that they'd spread the word. We received donations totalling $1625.00
